Shrimp provide a rich source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and key nutrients like vitamins B6 and B12, calcium, selenium, iodine, and zinc. These elements aid in a baby's quick growth, brain development, and the health of their heart and immune system.
Carrots are a great source of fiber for promoting digestion and vitamin B6, a vital nutrient for fueling the growth and development of a baby's body. However, the standout feature of carrots is their impressive concentration of carotenoids, which are nutrients that convert to vitamin A and aid in maintaining healthy vision.
Corn is abundant in carbohydrates and fiber. It is also a great source of essential nutrients like folate, zinc, B vitamins, phosphorus, and vitamin C, all of which are important for a baby's growth. In addition, sweet corn contains phytochemicals that contribute to maintaining healthy vision and antioxidants that aid in supporting the baby's immune system.
Capsicums are packed with fiber, folate, and vitamins A, B6, C, and E, which collectively support energy levels, a healthy gut microbiome, brain development, vision, immunity, metabolism, iron absorption, and skin health. Consuming foods rich in vitamin C, like capsicums, enhances the body's ability to absorb iron, making it beneficial to pair capsicums with iron-rich foods such as beans, lentils, nuts, and seeds.
Bok choy, similar to other cruciferous vegetables, is a rich source of essential nutrients. It has high amounts of calcium, vitamins A and B6, and vitamins C and K, which play a crucial role in a baby's growth and development. When combined with iron-rich plant-based foods such as lentils, beans, and tofu, bok choy's high levels of vitamin C can enhance the absorption of iron in a baby's body, which is important for their growth at this stage.
