How do I know if my baby is ready for solid?
We know introducing solid food to your baby can be exciting and scary at the same time and that’s why we are here with you!
Typically, when babies are around 6 months old and have reached important developmental milestones, they are ready to start eating solid food. These milestones include being able to sit with minimal support, having good head control while seated, being able to reach and grab objects, and showing interest in food by watching, mouthing, or leaning forward.
However, every baby is different! It’s important to follow their pace. We recommend you to talk to your pediatrician about starting solid if you have any question
What is the recommended age for each stage of your meals?
Every baby is different, so it’s important to follow their pace. Here’s our recommendation:
- Stage 1: 6-8 months
- Stage 2: 6-12 months
- Stage 3: 8-12 months
- Stage 4: 12 months onwards
- Stage 5: 16 months onwards
- Stage 6: 2 years onwards
- Finger Foods: *12 months onwards (depending on the product itself)
- Broth: 6 months onwards
What ingredients do you use? Are they organic?
For our Stage 1 to 5, Nutritious Broths, and some Finger Foods, we only use certified organic fresh products (such as vegetables and fruits) to ensure your baby gets only nature's best.
For Stage 6 and some Finger Foods, we strive to use as many organic ingredients as possible, supporting the growing palates of your little ones with a diverse range of flavors and textures. Our commitment to variety and nutritional value means we occasionally incorporate non-organic ingredients to enhance our recipes. Rest assured, we ensure transparency by clearly labeling any ingredients that are not organic, providing you with the information needed to make the best choices for your little ones.
Are you SFA licensed?
Yes, we are fully licensed by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA). Our license number is CE21Q43P000. This certification ensures that we adhere to stringent food safety and hygiene standards set by the SFA to provide safe and high-quality food products. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in all our production processes.
Why organic?
When it comes to the food your baby consumes, we believe that "nature is best" and "less is more." Organic farming practices prioritize the use of natural fertilizers and avoid synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). This reduces potential exposure to harmful chemicals commonly used in conventional agriculture, as well as residues that may be present in the food your baby eats. Additionally, organic food is often fresher as it doesn't contain preservatives that extend its shelf life.
Are your meals freshly made?
Yes! Now with advanced blast freeze technology, our meals are made-to-order in small batches and immediately frozen at peak freshness. This rapid freezing process locks in optimal nutrition and taste, ensuring your baby gets the very best in every bite.
Is frozen food safe/healthy for my baby?
Absolutely! At Little Barn, we ensure the safety and nutritional integrity of our frozen meals by using advanced blast freeze technology. This method rapidly brings down the temperature of freshly prepared foods, locking in freshness, flavor, and vital nutrients without the need for preservatives. Blast freezing helps maintain the food's cellular structure, preventing the formation of ice crystals that can compromise quality and taste.
Our frozen meals are as healthy as freshly cooked ones because they retain essential vitamins and minerals. Freezing food promptly after preparation ensures that you are serving your baby safe, nutritious, and delicious meals that are developed to support their growth and development. Plus, the convenience of frozen meals helps you manage mealtimes efficiently without compromising on quality or your child's health.
Do the meals contain allergens?
We are incredibly mindful of food allergies. Our Stage 1 and 2 meals and Broth are allergen-free, and our kitchens are designed to prevent cross-contamination. For other stages, we provide clear ingredient labels and indicate common allergens on our product pages for transparency and safety. Be sure to check in with your pediatrician for any allergy introduction guidance.
Do you add sugar and salt in the meals?
At Little Barn, we prioritize the health of your little ones with every dish we create. For Stage 1 to 5 meals and our Nutritious Broths, we do not add any sugar or salt, ensuring these meals are purely wholesome.
In our Stage 6 meals and selected Finger Foods, we occasionally add seasonings to cater to developing palates. However, we use these additions sparingly and ensure they are clearly labeled on our website. This approach allows us to provide a balance of flavor while maintaining nutritional integrity and transparency, so you can make informed choices for your child's diet.
Do you use preservatives or anything artificial?
No. Our meals are made with 100% natural ingredients, and we avoid any preservatives, artificial flavors, colors, or additives, ensuring your baby only consumes food that is pure and wholesome.
Do you offer vegan options?
Yes, we do! You can find the ‘Vegan’ icon on the product page of all vegan options.
Are your meals gluten-free?
We try our best to source and use gluten-free ingredients in our meals as much as possible. However, in cases which we are unable to do so, you will find the ‘Gluten’ icon under the ‘Common Allergen’ section on the product page of all our products.
How long do the meals stay fresh?
Our meals are freshly prepared upon your order and immediately preserved using blast freeze technology to ensure peak freshness and nutritional integrity. These meals can be stored in your freezer for up to 3 months, although we strongly recommend consuming them within 1 month to enjoy their best quality, as we do not use any preservatives. If stored in the fridge, please consume them within 2-3 days.
Once thawed, the meals should not be refrozen. We advise consuming thawed meals within 24 hours if kept in the fridge. You will find the ‘Best Consumed By’ date on each container to help ensure freshness.
Please heat the meals and consume them as soon as possible. Always taste-test before serving to your little ones, ensuring the temperature is safe and the food is fresh for their enjoyment. If the meals have been left at room temperature for more than 2 hours, we recommend discarding them for safety.
How to store the meals?
We recommend keeping the meals in your freezer if you do not plan to serve your baby within 24-48 hours. These meals can be stored in your freezer for up to 3 months, although we strongly recommend consuming them within 1 month to enjoy their best quality, as we do not use any preservatives. How do you ensure the quality and safety of your food?
Your baby’s health is our number one priority and we take the quality and safety of our food very seriously. All our ingredients are sourced from trusted partners who adhere to the highest standards of food quality and safety. You can find out more about our ingredients and partners here.
We are incredibly mindful of food allergies. All of our Stage 1 and Stage 2 meals and Broth are free from all major allergens. We also clearly label the ingredients we use and the common allergens that can be found on the product page of all our products.
Also, we are SFA licensed, WSQ Food Safety certified and adhere to the highest hygiene standards during our preparation process.
What if my baby doesn’t like the food?
It can be frustrating when your baby rejects food. However, it’s important to be patient as it takes multiple exposures (up to 15 times!) to a new flavor for babies to develop a taste for it. This is part of palate training and completely normal. A helpful tip is to mix new flavors with familiar ones to ease your baby intro trying new things.
Remember, your baby's taste buds change every three months, so their preferences will evolve. It's common for them to suddenly reject a meal they previously enjoyed.

While the mantou/buns are not organic, they are made with high-quality natural ingredients. We do not use any artificial coloring, preservatives, commercial dough improver or baking powders/sodas.

Yes, we do add a little bit of sugar to give the buns a mildly sweet taste. However, we do not use any salt.

By storing the buns in the freezer at at -18°C or below, they can stay fresh up to 2 months from the production date.

[Samantha Mantou] How do I reheat the buns?
Thaw for 15-20 minutes, then steam over medium-low heat for 10-12 minutes. Tilt the steamer lid to prevent water vapor from dripping onto the bun's surface, or simply insert a chopstick between the lid and the steamer to allow extra vapor to escape.
Kindly ensure you reheat the buns for the best taste and texture, as buns tend to become slightly drier and harder when left outside at room temperature.

The recommended age for the buns is for children 2 years and older. They're crafted with little ones in mind, ensuring they're easy to eat and perfectly sized for small hands.
Order
How do I start ordering?
It’s very easy! You just need to add the meals to your cart, choose between "Delivery" or "Pick Up", select a slot and proceed to checkout. If you would like to receive your order the following week, please make sure to place your order before our weekly cut-off, which is every Saturday 23:59 hours.
Where can I find your menu?
You can find our menu here. We will have some Monthly Special meals as well as some seasonal items to let your baby explore and expand their palate and keep things interesting! Also, we are also working on introducing more products for big babies, toddlers and kids. Stay tuned!
Would I be able to cancel or edit my orders?
Unfortunately, all orders placed can not be canceled, changed or refunded. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
Delivery
How much do you charge for delivery?
For orders totaling $120 SGD or more, you will enjoy free delivery. For orders totaling between $80 to $119.99 SGD, you will enjoy a $6 SGD off the delivery fee. Otherwise, there will be a flat rate charge of $12 SGD. Please note that for deliveries to Tuas and Changi Airport, an additional fee of $10 SGD will apply.
When will my meals be delivered to me?
You have the flexibility to choose your preferred delivery date and timeslot during the checkout process. Our delivery timeslots are (a) Thursday from 5-9 PM and (b) Sunday from 10 AM- 2 PM weekly (unless stated otherwise). If you wish to receive your meals the following week, please ensure your order is placed before the cutoff time of Saturday at 23:59.
We will confirm your delivery date and timeslot via email or WhatsApp at least 2 days prior to delivery, providing ample time for you to make necessary arrangements. Please be aware that to maintain the freshness and safety of your meals, which are delivered frozen, someone should be available to receive them. If you are not able to be at home during the delivery, please specify a secure location where the insulated bag can be safely left. Meals should be stored in the fridge or freezer immediately upon delivery and should not be left at room temperature for more than 30-60 minutes.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to Singapore islandwide, except for Jurong Island and other locations that are not on mainland Singapore.
How should my meals arrive?
Your meals will arrive fresh in an insulated bag with some ice packs. When your meals arrive, they should be in frozen form. Please place them in the fridge/freezer as soon as possible after delivery. Your meals can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours and up to 3 months in the freezer (below -18C).
What happens if there is no one available to receive my meals when they are delivered?
Please ensure that there is someone home to receive the delivery as all our meals are delivered frozen and must be kept in the freezer as soon as it reaches you. If there is no one around, please ensure that there is a place for us to leave the insulated bag. The meals need to be kept in the fridge/freezer straight after being left outside in the room temperature for a maximum of 30-60 minutes to ensure freshness.
Self Pickup
How do I place an order for pickup?
You can place your order through our website as usual. Before proceed to checkout, simply choose the "Store Pickup" option and a pickup date and time slot. Remember to select "Pickup in store" option at checkout before making the payment.
Where do I go to pick up my order?
Orders can be picked up at our store location, which is VIIO, 520 Balestier Road, #01-07 Singapore 329853. You can also find the address and directions in your order confirmation email and on our website under the Contact Us section. We are right beside the Pizza Hut :)
How will I know when my order is ready for pickup?
When placing your order, you will select a preferred pickup date and time slot via our website. Once your order is prepared and ready for pickup, we will notify you via email or WhatsApp. Please wait for this confirmation before heading to our store to ensure your order is ready for you.
Is there a fee for using the pickup option?
No, there is no fee for picking up your order. In fact, you’ll save on delivery fees by choosing to pick up your order at our store.
What do I need to bring to pick up my order?
To pick up your order, simply show a digital copy of the order confirmation email at the store. This will help us quickly verify your purchase and expedite the pickup process.

Is your packaging BPA-free?
Yes! Our packaging is made from cornstarch and 100% BPA free and biodegradable.
Is your packaging environmentally-friendly?
Yes! Our packaging is made from cornstarch which does not release any harmful toxins when it biodegrades.
Is your packaging microwave safe?
Yes! Our containers are microwave safe. You can put them in the microwave with the lids removed.

Can I combine points from multiple accounts?
No, points cannot be combined from multiple accounts. Each account is individual, and points earned are non-transferable.
