How do I know if my baby is ready for solid?

We know introducing solid food to your baby can be exciting and scary at the same time and that’s why we are here with you!

Typically, when babies are around 6 months old and have reached important developmental milestones, they are ready to start eating solid food. These milestones include being able to sit with minimal support, having good head control while seated, being able to reach and grab objects, and showing interest in food by watching, mouthing, or leaning forward.

However, every baby is different! It’s important to follow their pace. We recommend you to talk to your pediatrician about starting solid if you have any question

What is the recommended age for each stage of your meals?

Every baby is different, so it’s important to follow their pace. Here’s our recommendation:

  • Stage 1: 6-8 months
  • Stage 2: 6-12 months
  • Stage 3: 8-12 months
  • Stage 4: 12 months onwards
  • Broth: 6 months onwards

What ingredients do you use? Are they organic?

We only use certified organic fresh products (such as vegetables and fruits), antibiotic and growth hormone free meat and fish to ensure your baby gets only nature's best.

Why organic?

When it comes to the food your baby consumes, we believe that "nature is best" and "less is more." Organic farming practices prioritize the use of natural fertilizers and avoid synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). This reduces potential exposure to harmful chemicals commonly used in conventional agriculture, as well as residues that may be present in the food your baby eats. Additionally, organic food is often fresher as it doesn't contain preservatives that extend its shelf life.

Are your meals freshly made?

Yes! Now with advanced blast freeze technology, our meals are made-to-order in small batches and immediately frozen at peak freshness. This rapid freezing process locks in optimal nutrition and taste, ensuring your baby gets the very best in every bite.

Do the meals contain allergens?

We are incredibly mindful of food allergies. Our Stage 1 and 2 meals and Broth are allergen-free, and our kitchens are designed to prevent cross-contamination. For other stages, we provide clear ingredient labels and indicate common allergens on our product pages for transparency and safety. Be sure to check in with your pediatrician for any allergy introduction guidance.

Do you add sugar and salt in the meals?

At Little Barn, we embrace the natural flavors of our ingredients, allowing them to take center stage. That's why we never add any sugar or salt to all our Stage 1 to 4 meals and Broth.

Do you use preservatives or anything artificial?

No. Our meals are made with 100% natural ingredients, and we avoid any preservatives, artificial flavors, colors, or additives, ensuring your baby only consumes food that is pure and wholesome.

Do you offer vegan options?

Yes, we do! You can find the ‘Vegan’ icon on the product page of all vegan options.

Are your meals gluten-free?

We try our best to source and use gluten-free ingredients in our meals as much as possible. However, in cases which we are unable to do so, you will find the ‘Gluten’ icon under the ‘Common Allergen’ section on the product page of all our products.

How long do the meals stay fresh?

Our meals are freshly prepared upon ordering and kept frozen immediately after cooling. The meals stay fresh in your fridge for up to 2-3 days and up to 3 months in your freezer. Once the meals have been thawed, please do not refreeze them. Please consume them within 24 hours (if kept in the fridge).  You will find the ‘Best Consumed By’ date on each container.

Once the meals have been heated up, please consume as soon as possible. Always remember to taste-test before serving to your little ones to ensure the temperature is suitable and the contents are still fresh for their enjoyment. We recommend discarding the meals if they have been left at room temperature for more than 2 hours.

How to store the meals?

We recommend keeping the meals in your freezer if you do not plan to serve your baby within 24-48 hours. The meals stay fresh in your fridge for up to 48-72 hours and up to 3 months in your freezer (-18°C and below). Once the meals have been thawed, please do not refreeze them. Please consume them within 24 hours (if kept in the fridge).

How do you ensure the quality and safety of your food?

Your baby’s health is our number one priority and we take the quality and safety of our food very seriously. All our ingredients are sourced from trusted partners who adhere to the highest standards of food quality and safety. You can find out more about our ingredients and partners here. 

We are incredibly mindful of food allergies. All of our Stage 1 and Stage 2 meals and Broth are free from all major allergens. We also clearly label the ingredients we use and the common allergens that can be found on the product page of all our products.

Also, we are SFA licensed, WSQ Food Safety certified and adhere to the highest hygiene standards during our preparation process.

What if my baby doesn’t like the food?

It can be frustrating when your baby rejects food. However, it’s important to be patient as it takes multiple exposures (up to 15 times!) to a new flavor for babies to develop a taste for it. This is part of palate training and completely normal. A helpful tip is to mix new flavors with familiar ones to ease your baby intro trying new things.

Remember, your baby's taste buds change every three months, so their preferences will evolve. It's common for them to suddenly reject a meal they previously enjoyed. 

How do I reheat the meals?

  1. Take the meal out of the freezer. Ensure the meal is consistently stored the the freezer at -18°C or below before serving.
  2. Pop the meal out from the container directly without thawing. If it's a bit tricky to pop out, simply let it sit at room temperature for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Heat the meal up either by steaming (10-20min) or microwaving (3-5min). When doing so, it's advisable to loosely cover the meal to prevent water droplets from falling into it during steaming and retains moisture during microwaving, ensuring optimal taste and texture. Please note that appliances of different brands may vary in power/wattage, so you may need to adjust the heating time accordingly to achieve the desired temperature.
  4. Stir the meal well to ensure even temperature distribution. Always do a taste test to check the warmth before serving to your baby. Enjoy!

Order

How do I start ordering?

It’s very easy! You just need to add the meals to your cart and proceed to checkout. As long as you place the order before the cutoff on Saturday before 23:59, you will receive your meals in the following week between Wednesday to Friday, 6-9pm.

Where can I find your menu?

You can find our menu here. We will have some Monthly Special meals as well as some seasonal items to let your baby explore and expand their palate and keep things interesting! Also, we are also working on introducing more products for big babies, toddlers and kids. Stay tuned!

Would I be able to cancel or edit my orders?

Unfortunately, all orders placed can not be canceled, changed or refunded. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

Delivery

How much do you charge for delivery?

For orders totaling $120 SGD or more, you will enjoy free delivery. For orders totaling between $80 to $119.99 SGD, you will enjoy a $6 SGD off the delivery fee. Otherwise, there will be a flat rate charge of $12 SGD. Please note that for deliveries to Sentosa, Tuas, and Changi Airport, an additional fee of $5 SGD will apply.

When will my meals be delivered to me?

Your meals will be delivered the week after your order is placed as long as it is placed by the cutoff time on Saturday before 23:59. The delivery will take place from Wednesday to Friday 6-9pm. We will inform you the delivery date 2 days prior to the delivery but we will not be able to advise on the exact delivery timing as it is subjected to the courier’s route, traffic and weather conditions.

Please ensure that there is someone home to receive the delivery as all our meals are delivered frozen and must be kept in the fridge/freezer as soon as it reaches you. If there is no one around, please ensure that there is a place for us to leave the insulated bag. The meals need to be kept in the fridge/freezer straight after being left outside in the room temperature for a maximum of 30-60 minutes.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to Singapore islandwide, except for Jurong Island and other locations that are not on mainland Singapore.

How should my meals arrive?

Your meals will arrive fresh in a biodegradable carrier with some ice packs. To reduce unnecessary waste, an insulated bag will only be provided upon request or when there is no one around to receive the meals. When your meals arrive, they should be in frozen form. Please place them in the fridge/freezer as soon as possible after delivery. Your meals can be kept in the fridge for up to 48 hours and up to 3 months in the freezer.

What happens if there is no one available to receive my meals when they are delivered?

Please ensure that there is someone home to receive the delivery as all our meals are delivered frozen and must be kept in the freezer as soon as it reaches you. If there is no one around, please ensure that there is a place for us to leave the insulated bag. The meals need to be kept in the fridge/freezer straight after being left outside in the room temperature for a maximum of 30-60 minutes to ensure freshness.

Packaging

Is your packaging BPA-free?

Yes! Our packaging is made from cornstarch and 100% BPA free and biodegradable.

Is your packaging environmentally-friendly?

Yes! Our packaging is made from cornstarch which does not release any harmful toxins when it biodegrades.

Is your packaging microwave safe?

Yes! Our containers are microwave safe. You can put them in the microwave with the lids removed.

Joining the Little Barn Rewards Club is easy! Simply create an account on our website and you will automatically be enrolled in the program. You can start earning points with your first purchase.

How do I earn points?

You can earn points through purchases and referrals. For every dollar you spend, you earn points. Additionally, if you refer a friend and they make a purchase, you earn even more points.

What are the different tiers in the Rewards Club?

Our Rewards Club has five tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. As you move up the tiers, you earn points faster and unlock greater rewards.

How can I redeem my points?

You can redeem your points for discounts on future purchases, free gifts, and exclusive offers. Simply log in to your account, check your points balance, and choose your rewards from the available options.

Do my points expire?

Yes, points will expire after 6 months of inactivity. Be sure to make purchases or referrals regularly to keep your points active.

How do I refer a friend to earn points?

You can refer a friend by sharing your unique referral link, which you can find in your account. When your friend uses the link to make their first purchase, you will earn referral points.

What should I do if my points are not showing up in my account?

If your points are not reflecting in your account, please contact our customer service team and we will assist you in resolving the issue.

Why don't I see my points after placing an order?

Points will only be credited to your account after your order is fulfilled and delivered. If you have any concerns or questions, please contact our customer service team.

Can I combine points from multiple accounts?

No, points cannot be combined from multiple accounts. Each account is individual, and points earned are non-transferable.
