Nutrients

Beef is a protein-rich food that fuels baby's rapid growth and provides essential nutrients like iron, zinc, selenium, choline, and vitamin B6. These nutrients support metabolism, growth, immune system, and prevent anemia. Beef is a great source of dietary iron for babies around 6 months of age.

Tomatoes are a great source of vitamin C, which is beneficial when paired with plant-based iron-rich foods like lentils, beans, and peas as it helps in iron absorption. Additionally, tomatoes are rich in carotenoids, a group of plant nutrients with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that come in various varieties and offer distinct advantages such as promoting healthy eyesight, immunity, and heart function, as well as shielding the skin from sun damage.

Carrots are a great source of fiber for promoting digestion and vitamin B6, a vital nutrient for fueling the growth and development of a baby's body. However, the standout feature of carrots is their impressive concentration of carotenoids, which are nutrients that convert to vitamin A and aid in maintaining healthy vision.

Cabbage is a highly nutritious vegetable with many health benefits. It is a great source of fiber, which helps to maintain good gut health, and vitamin B6, which provides energy, as well as folate, which is essential for proper nervous system development. In addition, it contains a variety of other beneficial nutrients such as vitamin C, which boosts the immune system and enhances iron absorption, vitamin K, which supports healthy blood, carotenoids that convert into vitamin A to promote healthy skin and vision, and even calcium, which helps to build strong bones. The specific nutritional content of cabbage may vary depending on the variety, but it generally contains many phytonutrients such as glucosinolates and antioxidants that support various bodily functions and promote good health for babies.
