Nutrients

Chicken is a rich source of many nutrients that are essential for babies’ growth and development. These nutrients include vitamins B6 and B12, iron, zinc, choline, selenium, and vitamin B3. They play important roles in supporting antioxidant activities, providing energy to cells, promoting healthy blood, enhancing the sense of taste and smell, and boosting brain health. Furthermore, chicken is a great source of protein, which contains all the amino acids required to develop a baby's muscles, nervous system, heart, skin, and hair.

Carrots are a great source of fiber for promoting digestion and vitamin B6, a vital nutrient for fueling the growth and development of a baby's body. However, the standout feature of carrots is their impressive concentration of carotenoids, which are nutrients that convert to vitamin A and aid in maintaining healthy vision.

Shiitake mushrooms have several health benefits. Firstly, they are rich in vitamin D and vitamin B12, which are typically found in animal-based foods, making them a great addition to a plant-based baby's diet. Secondly, shiitakes contain unique types of fiber and essential vitamins and minerals like selenium and zinc, which are important for immune system function, as well as maintaining a healthy sense of taste and smell. Lastly, shiitakes have phytonutrients that possess antioxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties.

Chestnuts are packed with carbohydrates and fiber, along with essential nutrients like folate, magnesium, potassium, and vitamins B6 and C. These nutrients work together to boost energy, nourish the baby’s gut microbiome, aid metabolism, and strengthen immunity, muscles, and heart health. Additionally, chestnuts are rich in polyphenol antioxidants, which may promote healthy digestion.
